Research Process Insight
The existing Experiment 001 work contained significant research value before formalization.
The migration process did not recreate analysis. Instead, it transformed existing research into a structured artifact model where relationships and confidence levels are explicit.
Framework Insight
Three migrations revealed that the repeatable portion of the process is structural.
The researcher still needs to make decisions about:
- What constitutes an observation.
- What evidence is meaningful.
- Whether a hypothesis is too broad.
- Whether validation has actually challenged the hypothesis.
These decisions should remain human-guided.
Future Automation Direction
The next logical Abbey research capability is not automatic artifact generation.
The next useful capability is research visibility.

- Remaining migration work.
This would improve research navigation without automating interpretation.
Next Steps
Design the Abbey Research Status command before implementing additional research automation.
The current workflow has provided enough examples to begin designing tooling based on observed requirements.
