Abbey Status Planning Fallthrough Fix

Summary

abbey status previously stopped in the Planning section when NEXT.md contained no unchecked task. The optional search returned a normal no-match status, but strict shell behavior interpreted it as a fatal error.

Accomplishments

• Made the open-task search explicitly failure-tolerant.
• Preserved the existing no-open-task warning.
• Added a regression proving Project Metrics runs after the Planning check.

Lessons Learned

• Optional searches in sourced strict-shell checks must distinguish a valid no-result state from an actual command failure.

Next Steps

• Extend sequence-level status coverage when later checks gain conditional behavior.
